Trees turning colors, cool mornings, and crisp evenings are all signs of fall beginning. Moving on from mowing grass to raking leaves, sprucing up the outside, and preparing for winter; while you are checking all this off your list, don’t neglect to have your equipment serviced to be ready for what the Farmers Almanac says may be a really brutal one! If you have a maintenance agreement with us, we’ll handle getting you on the schedule, and if not, no worries. Our friendly staff will be happy to get you set up on our recurring plan to ensure that no matter the season, you are confident your HVAC system will be able to handle it!
Here are just a few tips as you are preparing:
- Make sure to keep your outdoor unit free of debris and fallen leaves.
- If you have a high-efficiency furnace, locate the flu and ensure the inlet and outlet are clean, and there are no obstructions, like bushes, or weed growth that may cause you problems and potentially cause you to require a service call.
- Change your air filter with a good-quality pleated filter. Don’t think cheap here, you get what you pay for!
- If you have a humidifier, have our highly trained service technicians get it ready for the dry winter air.
Seal around windows, doors, and any other areas that may need to be a potential draft problem when the mercury falls.
Enjoy the remainder of the warm weather, make those memories with family and friends, and spend time outdoors while you can. Call on ACR for any issues you have with your heating & cooling system, we’re the experts, let us handle it!
